Slot Glossary

35 terms covering Inferno Mayhem's 5×5 cluster pays, Wild Multipliers (2x-500x additive), Sticky Wild Respin chains, Super Feature Buy, and the path to 25,000x.

Autoplay

Spin the reels automatically for a set number of rounds. Pick how many spins and optional stop conditions (stop on Free Spins trigger, stop on Sticky Wild Respin chain of 3+, stop on a 500x Wild landing). Useful for grinding the ~1 in 220 scatter trigger across the 5×5 cluster pays grid.

Base Game

Regular gameplay before Free Spins activates. Inferno Mayhem's base game runs across Cluster Pays on the 5×5 grid. High volatility means most session profit comes from rare 100x+ Wild Multiplier landings combined into Sticky Respin chains. Skulls, flames, electric guitars, and amp stacks share the reels.

Bonus Buy (Feature Buy)

Skip the base game and jump straight into Free Spins. Inferno Mayhem offers Bonus Buy at 100x bet (RTP 96.74%, average return ~70x). The buy maintains base RTP — typical PG Soft structure. Super Feature Buy (300x-500x stake) guarantees the full 2x-500x multiplier band stays active for every Wild during the feature.

Cascading Reels (Tumble)

After a winning combination resolves, winning symbols disappear and new ones drop into place. Inferno Mayhem doesn't use cascades in the traditional sense — wins resolve once per spin via cluster pays. The replay action comes from Sticky Wild Respins (where Wilds lock and the rest of the grid respins) rather than in-spin cascade chains.

Cluster Pays

Inferno Mayhem's win mechanic. Five or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically anywhere on the 5×5 grid trigger a payout. PG Soft skipped the classic payline layout for something that fits the concert energy. Bigger clusters mean bigger base payouts, and Wild Multipliers amplify everything.

Cluster Size

Inferno Mayhem pays from clusters of 5 tiles upward. Bigger clusters pay exponentially more — a 5-tile cluster of premium guitars or amp stacks pays roughly 1x stake, while a 12+ tile cluster of the same symbol pays 50x+. Hit a 12-symbol blob and the speakers practically blow.

Dead Spin

A spin that returns absolutely nothing across the cluster grid. Inferno Mayhem's high volatility produces dead spins around 70% of the time at base game. The cluster mechanic requires 5+ matching symbols connected — slightly more strict than line-pay slots that pay on adjacent matching symbols.

Feature Trigger Rate

How often Free Spins activates. Inferno Mayhem's scatter trigger sits at ~1 in 220 base spins. 5-Scatter trigger (full 15 spins): ~1 in 4,500 spins. Retrigger rate during feature: ~12% of rounds. Combined feature rate plus Super Feature Buy provide the slot's pacing.

Five-Scatter Trigger

Inferno Mayhem's top-tier Free Spins entry. Five Scatters award 15 free spins — the longest natural round. Probability: ~1 in 4,500 base spins. Combined with Super Feature Buy guarantee for the full 2x-500x multiplier band, the 5-scatter trigger is the realistic path to the 25,000x cap.

Free Spins (10/12/15)

Bonus rounds where you don't pay the stake. Inferno Mayhem awards 10, 12, or 15 free spins on 3, 4, or 5 scatters respectively. Every Wild that appears during the round locks to its grid position for the entire feature — not just one respin chain. By spin 8 or 9 of a 15-spin round, the grid can carry 6+ locked multiplier Wilds.

Hit Frequency

How often Inferno Mayhem lands any winning combination. The hit rate sits around 30% — about 1 in 3 spins pays a cluster. Standard for high-volatility cluster slots. The 5×5 grid requires 5+ matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically for a cluster to form.

Max Win

The absolute maximum a slot can pay on a single round. Inferno Mayhem caps at 25,000x. The path runs through Free Spins with multiple high-band Wilds locked early — late-feature spins with 5+ stacked Wilds at high multiplier values are where 5,000x+ single-spin payouts surface. Realistic cap-attempt probability sits roughly 1 in 1.5 million spins.

Max Win Cap

Once Inferno Mayhem hits 25,000x, the round ends immediately. The 25,000x cap is high for PG Soft's catalog — the Wild Multiplier additive stacking math (multiple 100x+ Wilds locked into one cluster) is the cap path. Super Feature Buy is the only configuration where the 25,000x cap becomes a realistic chase.

Megaways

A Big Time Gaming licensed mechanic with up to 117,649 ways to win. Inferno Mayhem doesn't use Megaways — uses cluster pays on a 5×5 grid. PG Soft has Megaways-licensed titles in their catalog but Inferno Mayhem stays with cluster pays that fits the concert energy theme.

Multiplier

A value that multiplies your win. Inferno Mayhem's Wild Multipliers carry x2-x500 values. When two or more Wilds sit inside the same cluster, their multipliers stack additively (not multiplicatively) before the payout resolves. A 100x Wild plus a 250x Wild on a 7-symbol cluster lands at 350x of the cluster value.

Multiplier Stacking (Additive)

Inferno Mayhem's combine mechanic. Multiple Wilds inside the same winning cluster sum their multipliers before applying. Three Wilds at 50x, 100x, and 200x landing in the same cluster = 350x applied to the cluster. Different from multiplicative stacking (which would compound). The additive math means even moderate stacks (3-4 Wilds) produce meaningful payouts.

Paylines

Inferno Mayhem doesn't use paylines — it uses Cluster Pays. Cluster Pays means clusters of 5 or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically anywhere on the 5×5 grid. The cluster mechanic replaces the traditional left-to-right payline format. No predefined win paths.

Paytable

The reference chart showing each symbol's cluster payouts. Access through the game's info menu. Inferno Mayhem's premium symbols are hard-rock themed: skulls, flames, electric guitars, amp stacks, themed concert imagery. Mid-tier symbols include themed rock accessories. Card royals (A/K/Q/J/10) form the bottom across the cluster grid.

RNG (Random Number Generator)

The cryptographic algorithm determining every spin outcome. PG Soft uses GLI-certified RNGs — independently audited for fairness in regulated markets. Each spin in Inferno Mayhem is independent of the last; previous Wild Multiplier values or Sticky Respin chain lengths have zero influence on future spin outcomes.

RTP (Return to Player)

The theoretical percentage of wagered money a slot returns over millions of spins. Inferno Mayhem runs at 96.74% — above the 96% industry standard. Some casinos might offer lower RTP variants — always verify the exact percentage in the game info screen before spinning.

Respin Chain

Inferno Mayhem's Sticky Wild Respin mechanic. Once a Wild sticks, the rest of the 5×5 grid respins. If new Wilds appear on the respin, they stick too. The chain continues spin after spin until a respin produces no new Wilds. Single-respin chain: ~1 in 7 spins. Two-respin chain: ~1 in 50 spins. Three or more respins back-to-back: ~1 in 320 spins.

Scatter

A special symbol that triggers Free Spins regardless of cluster position. Inferno Mayhem's scatter is the rock-themed scatter symbol. Three scatters award 10 free spins, four scatters award 12, five scatters award 15. Scatters can land on any position. Retrigger possible: 3+ scatters during the feature add more spins on top.

Session Variance

The gap between actual results and theoretical RTP. Inferno Mayhem has 96.74% RTP, but a 200-spin session can return 20% to 300% of your wager. Without a feature trigger, sessions tend to run 30-60% of theoretical RTP. With Free Spins + multiple high-band Wilds locked, single sessions can finish at 300%+ of wagered amount.

Sticky Wild Respins

Inferno Mayhem's headline base-game mechanic. Any Wild landing during base game locks in place. The remaining grid respins automatically while the Wild stays put. If new Wilds appear on the respin, they stick too. The chain continues spin after spin until a respin produces no new Wilds. In Free Spins, Wilds stay locked for the entire round.

Super Feature Buy

Inferno Mayhem's premium Bonus Buy tier. Costs 300x-500x stake (depending on operator). Beyond standard Bonus Buy, the Super tier guarantees every Wild that appears during the feature carries a multiplier from the full 2x-500x band — no truncation to the lower end. This is the only configuration where the 25,000x cap becomes a realistic chase.

Volatility (Variance)

How a slot's payouts are distributed. Inferno Mayhem is rated High — meaning meaningful drought-then-flood patterns. Most session profit comes from rare 100x+ Wild Multiplier landings combined into Sticky Respin chains and Free Spins rounds. The 70% dead-spin rate at base game is the cost of the 25,000x cap potential.

Ways to Win

An alternative to fixed paylines. Inferno Mayhem uses cluster pays, not ways-to-win. Megaways slots use dynamic ways. The cluster mechanic provides the structural innovation here — clusters of 5+ touching matching symbols pay regardless of grid position.

Wild

A symbol that substitutes for any regular symbol to complete winning clusters. Inferno Mayhem's Wild substitutes for everything except scatters. Each Wild lands with a multiplier value pulled from the 2x-500x band. Wild appearance rate in base game: ~1 in 7 spins. The Wild's primary value comes from being absorbed into clusters and contributing its multiplier additively.

Wild Multiplier Band (2x-500x)

Inferno Mayhem's extended multiplier range. Distribution skews toward the lower band — most Wilds land 2x-25x, with 100x+ values surfacing roughly once every 40 Wild drops. A 500x Wild contributing to a winning cluster: ~1 in 1,200 spins. The high range matters because a single 500x Wild on a winning cluster delivers more than dozens of base-symbol clusters combined.

Wild Multipliers

Inferno Mayhem's headline mechanic. Every Wild lands with a multiplier between 2x and 500x. When a Wild participates in a winning cluster, its multiplier replaces the base symbol payout for that cluster. Two or more Wilds inside the same cluster stack their multipliers additively before the payout resolves.

Win Distribution

How total payouts are spread across different win sizes. High-volatility slots like Inferno Mayhem are top-heavy — Free Spins (especially 5-scatter triggers with locked Wilds) contribute ~30% of total RTP. Sticky Wild Respin chains in base game ~30%. Wild Multipliers without respin chains ~25%. Standard cluster wins without Wilds ~15%.

PG Soft Provider Catalog

PG Soft is a Maltese-licensed provider with global distribution. Inferno Mayhem (March 2026 release) sits in their entertainment-themed catalog. GLI certification covers all titles. Distribution skews toward Asian markets, European regulated markets, and Latin American operators where PG Soft has presence.

Hard Rock / Concert Theme Symbol Hierarchy

Inferno Mayhem's premium symbol order. Skulls, flames, electric guitars, amp stacks fill the premium tier. Mid-tier symbols include themed rock accessories (drumsticks, picks, rock memorabilia). Card royals (A/K/Q/J/10) form the bottom across the cluster grid. The hard-rock aesthetic carries across all visual elements.

5×5 Grid Cluster Format

Inferno Mayhem's grid format. 5 reels × 5 rows = 25 cells. Cluster pays mechanic — 5+ matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically anywhere on the grid trigger a payout. Larger grid than 5x3 means more cluster topology possibilities, supporting bigger cluster sizes (12+ tiles) for larger payouts.

Free Spins Wild Persistence

Inferno Mayhem's Free Spins multiplier accumulation. Every Wild that appears during the round locks to its grid position for the duration of the feature — not just one respin chain, the entire round. As spins progress, Wilds accumulate across the 5×5 grid. By spin 8 or 9 of a 15-spin round, the grid can carry 6+ locked multiplier Wilds.
